Easter phone call from Dad

Anyone that knows my family knows how much my parents LOVE their children.
My parents would give anything, and do dang near anything to ensure that we are safe, happy, and healthy. My parents are both so strong, and both have been hard workers since the time I can remember them leaving and coming home from work.
Through the years we moved, dad moved, parents divorced, dad sent letters, and we wrote letters.
dad always came to visit bearing gifts, whether it was a cheap bracelet, a cool shaped rock, or an easter basket. He always made sure he had something for my sisters and I. Always reminding us how much he adores us even through the difficult times. Neither of my parents were rich, so we LOVED everything that we were given.
When my dad called me today to say Happy Easter, we made some small talk, gave eachother updates about work, and school, and how Laura was doing, after a few minutes I explained to my dad I had to go cause Chris would be returning from Wal-Mart and we'd be leaving with some friends, my dad's tone of voice instantly changed. I could hear his voice crack and swallow, my dad was about to cry.
It kills me being so far away from both of my parents. But that phone call with my dad really got to me. I wish I could explain it in better detail, but I can't.The way  it made my heart sink, dad's girls aren't cuddled in bed with him anymore. We're grown women, with husbands, babies, jobs, college papers to write, and bills to pay!
With that said I want each of you to hug a loved one, especially a mom or dad and thank them for bringing you into this world.
