1st Anniversary

WE MADE IT
"First year of marriage is the hardest" NOT!

First of all we'd like to begin by saying thank you for your words of encouragement from the very beginning. Thank you for all of your prayers, phone calls and text messages. They continue to lift us up and push us to be all that we can as one, on a daily basis.

We cannot thank you enough. Those of you that decorated and cooked your hearts out, or those of you that did us the favor of being in the audience on the day we wed. Your presence in our life is such a blessing, and always will be.

As all of you know two weeks after we married we moved cross-country to Beaufort, South Carolina. We had no idea what we were in for. Never having lived on our own... let alone in our own HOUSE?! Well we have done an amazing job making our house a home this year. To those of you who purchased gifts such as dishes, cups, towels, or Tupperware . you are heavenly! But who'da guessed we'd end up with 50 lids and 10 containers.. I shall blame the dishwasher.

We've both grown tremendously this year, together and on our own. We have learned what it means to love with all of your heart, to miss someone so bad it makes you sick,  and we've especially learned that "distance makes the heart grow fonder" of friends, and family.

The first lesson we've learned as a married couple: HOW TO SURVIVE SOUTHERN HEAT. We managed to make it through the summer with no heatstroke's, or hospital visits. We've indulged ourselves  into the South Carolina "nature" and discovered that armadillos are nearly blind, even a foot long shark is viscous, and last but not least 1 puffer-fish holds the potency to kill 30 adults.

See, it's already beyond life changing! Chris was in awe to learn that the State of South Carolina does not use a "tag" system for does. They have an unlimited number for bucks and they also have "either sex" days throughout the hunting season.

Yes, Gentleman you are welcome anytime, and we do have a spare room. As long as you don't mind sharing the bed with a forty pound black lab!

We look forward to returning home and reuniting with everyone we've missed so much this year. Keep in touch and remember we're still here, even though we're an 8 hour plane trip away.

Lots of love & Southern Sprinkles,

Chris & Addy
